"My name is Enrique. There are five of us in this family - I am Teresa's husband and Itamar, Raysa and Elisabet's father. We are originally from the Dominican Republic. Teresa and I were born in a city called Barahona, where we met when attending a local Roman Catholic Church, during high school. Then, I moved to the capital city of the country to continue my studies at the university.

During this time, I met Jesus and at the same time I was introduced to the Christian faith by a pastor friend called Eduardo Marte, who was assisting me in the process. A time later, Teresa took her decision of following Jesus as well. So, Teresa and I decided to go on with our engagement and did it officially in our home town. Years later, we got married in Santo Domingo, the capital of the country. We consider ourselves as Jesus lovers. He is our all!

For work reasons, I had to move to Madrid, Spain, and Teresa and our daughters came after. We were living there for more than 15 years. Then in 2019, we decide to move here (Edinburgh), just before Brexit and Covid-19. We immediately started looking for a church to gather in. It was then when someone told us about a Spanish group that was starting in Cornerstone Church.

3rd of December last year (2023) we became official members of Cornerstone Free Church and our daughters were also baptised.

So, thanks to pastor Neil, Laird and our Spanish minister Israel and all elders: Richard, James, David and leader: Jo, deacons: Sneider, Andrew, Ian and Andy in church for your commitment in helping us to keep growing and thanks Cornerstone to let us share with you the faith in Jesus Christ.

Cornerstone, you rock!"
