Call to Worship

Leader: And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God; God the only Son, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.

All: Let my cry come before you, O Lord; give me understanding according to your word! My lips will pour forth praise, for you teach me your statutes. My tongue will sing of your word, for all your commandments are right

John 1/Psalm 119

Prayer of Adoration

Song: See What a Morning

Verse 1

See what a morning gloriously bright

With the dawning of hope in Jerusalem

Folded the grave-clothes tomb filled with light

As the angels announce Christ is risen

See God's salvation plan wrought in love

Borne in pain paid in sacrifice

Fulfilled in Christ the Man for He lives

Christ is risen from the dead.

See Mary weeping where is He laid

As in sorrow she turns from the empty tomb

Hears a voice speaking calling her name

It's the Master the Lord raised to life again

The voice that spans the years

Speaking life stirring hope bringing peace to us

Confession and Assurance

Confession: Wondrous God, we often forget you and the rescue you have offered in Jesus, how seldom have we really loved you and followed you! Too keen to try and save ourselves, we hesitate to turn to you and neglect the great offer of rescue from Jesus. Have mercy on us. 

Assurance: You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.

Psalm 86:15

Isaiah 43:1-7

“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;

² When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
    and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
    and the flame shall not consume you.
³ For I am the Lord your God,
    the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
I give Egypt as your ransom,
    Cush and Seba in exchange for you.
⁴ Because you are precious in my eyes,
    and honored, and I love you,

Matthew 14:22-36

Isaías 43:1-7

Mateo 14:22-36

Psalm 23:4

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
    I will fear no evil,

Aunque ande en valle de sombra de muerte,
No temeré mal alguno, porque tú estarás conmigo;
